Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of themainstreetoperator.com, the Keystone diagnostic and valuation tools, the Systems Sprint engagement, and the newsletter (together, the "Services"), all operated by The Main Street Operator. By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
What we provide
The Main Street Operator provides educational content, a business diagnostic that returns three scores and an estimated sale price range, and a productized consulting engagement. Some features are described as launching soon and may not be available to every visitor yet.
The valuation estimate is informational, not advice
Keystone produces an estimate calibrated against historical closed-transaction data and public loan records. It is an informational tool, not an appraisal, a brokerage opinion of value, or financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. An actual sale price depends on factors outside any model, including the specific buyer, deal structure, market timing, and diligence. Do not rely on the estimate as the sole basis for a transaction. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified appraiser, broker, accountant, or attorney.
Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services. That includes attempting to disrupt or compromise the Services, accessing data that is not yours, scraping or reselling content without permission, reverse-engineering the diagnostic, or using the Services to violate any law.
Intellectual property
The Services, including the content, scoring methodology, software, and brand, are owned by The Main Street Operator and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. The reports and outputs generated for you are yours to use for your own business.
Third-party services and links
The Services rely on third-party providers (for example, hosting, analytics, email, and payment processing) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of services we do not control. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Payment and refunds
Where the Services are offered for a fee, the price and billing terms shown at the point of purchase apply. Current pricing is published on our pricing page. Subscription and engagement terms, including any refund terms, are presented before you pay.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate or result will be accurate for your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Main Street Operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or business losses, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Services change. When we do, we will revise the date shown above. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which The Main Street Operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
